We arrived at the home of John and Rachel Muir on September 21st, 2017 at around 1:30 a.m. When we arrived, John Muir’s body was lying at the foot of the stairs. He was holding an unbroken liquor bottle in his left hand. he was faced as if he fell backwards as he was going up stairs in the hallway. According to the autopsy, there was a wound on his head, and he had in fact, been inebriated when he was found deceased on the stairs. “Something terrible happened John slipped and fell on the stairs.” Rachel Muir stated, “He was coming down for another drink and I think he’s dead. It seems unlikely that the bottle still rests in your hands after falling down a flight of stairs when a person would usually let go in order to catch themselves. The staircase that John Muir was resting on are covered in carpet. Usually if there is carpet on a staircase it helps in a way to stop a fall. In John Muir’s case he was intoxicated so the chances of him falling were higher than usual. The evidence that we’ve discovered did not, in fact support the claims that Rachel Muir made, essentially with minor details that would not usually prove to be true.
