The early age social workers had high level of intensity, dedication and commitment towards their profession. But in this 21st century the value towards that profession have changed. Hence, the primary supporter and responsible person should take initiative to have more involvement and advocate for the needy. Valuing advocating basically means understanding the social justice depending on the economic, social and political ideologies. The next step is to apply/imply these understood value into the society. It also involves the process of putting oneself in the others shoes who are under privileged and fighting for their rights and causes. A good social worker is one who have a knowledge about impact of different policies and its implication when put into effect. Also about the impact that those policies have on the individuals, families, groups and communities with whom they work. Another set of trait that a social worker must possess is maximum utilization of available resources. It is also important to be strategically prepared and also know different tactics to come out of various situations.
