One of those weaknesses was the outdated display case, which “was not very prominent or particularly upscale in appearance” (Parnell, 2014, pg. 397). As a result, consumers chose to shop at other locations, such as Wal-Mart and Kroger. In fact, Bob’s Supermarket didn’t even have a marketing strategy, and had very limited advertising and promotion. As a result, there were missed opportunities that could have helped increase the flow of traffic that could have being coming in and out of the store. As a matter of fact, Bob and Sam even found it to be difficult for them to attract long-term workers who were willing to work for minimum wage. As a result, only high school kids and sometimes housewives were willing to work for the minimum
