Apple’s sophisticated products like the, MacBook’s and the Ipod’s were not the case in the early 1990’s. There were plain and un-sophisticated Gadgets which could only perform limited functions. The passion and desire of one man to create something new and interesting changed this. Steven Paul "Steve" Jobs was an American entrepreneur, marketer, and inventor, who were the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc. He was born on February 24, 1955, in San Francisco, California, to Joanne Schieble and Abdulfattah Jandali, who gave their unnamed son up for adoption. As an infant, Steven was adopted by Clara and Paul Jobs and named Steven Paul Jobs. The family lived in Mountain View, California, within the area that would later become known as Silicon Valley. As a boy, Jobs and his father would work on electronics in the family garage. Paul would show his son how to take apart and reconstruct electronics, a hobby that instilled confidence and mechanical prowess in young Jobs. This was his first step in becoming “The Steve Jobs”. While Jobs was always an intelligent and innovative thinker, his youth was riddled with frustrations over formal schooling. Jobs was bribed to study. Jobs tested so well, however, that administrators wanted to skip him ahead to high school—a proposal that his parents declined. In 2003, he was called back by Apple as a result of their continuous failure in the market. Jobs were very passionate about Apple. Therefore he would spend nights and days working. He paid himself an annual salary of 10 dollars. His hard work finally paid off. In 2005, the first iPhone was released by Apple. The phone reaped huge profits and success. In succession, Ipads, Ipods and macbooks were released which also achieved the milestone. Apple went on to become one of the most successful companies in the world. Based on this case study, Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm and confidence. Steve Jobs was so engaged in working and changing the world that success can also be defined as the more you 're actively and practically engaged, the more successful you will feel. Steve worked very hard therefore success can also be defined as the quote said Thomas Edison; Success is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration. Expertise is developed not born.
