1955: He was born in San Francisco on February 24 and was adopted from Paul and Clara Jobs. 1969: William Hewlett gave Jobs a summer job to work at Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP) 1971: Jobs and Wozniak meet each other and end up becoming the founders of Apple. 1972: After graduating from Homestead High School in Los Altos, Jobs applies to Reed college in Portland, Oregon, but left after a semester. 1974: Jobs becomes a technician at Atari. 1976: Jobs and Wozniak collect $1,750 and compose the Apple I. 1977: Apple is subsumed as Apple Computer Inc. The recent company purchased out the existing partnership. Apple inaugurated the Apple II. 1978: Jobs’ girlfriend, Chrisann Brennan had Lisa. 1980: The Apple III is unveiled. 1985: U.S. President Ronald Reagan awards Jobs with a National Technology Medal. After disagreements with Sculley, Jobs resigns and brought five Apple employees with him. He wanted to expand computer hardware and software so he established Next Inc. Later on the company renamed to next Computer Inc. 1986: George Lucas sold Pixar to Jobs for less than $10 million. Afterwards it was renamed Pixar Animation Studios. 1989: The $6500 NeXT computer that Next introduced became a complete failure in the marketplace. “Tin Toy” was a short animated Pixar film that received an Academy Award. 1991: He marries Laurene Powell and has three kids. 1992: NEXTSTOP operating system was launched by Next for Intel Corp. that had 486 processors.
