The evolution of the society from traditional to the age of complexity is a journey in finding its own identity; being able to have a political stand, a stabilized economy and other factors necessary in building a connection between the state and society to adapt to the social changes brought by modernity and globalization. As Nash would say, the turns started from the control of power through the use of politics as a form of creating identity and its application through manipulation. And this idea of control will almost certainly raise doubts and as a counter force, groups of people will emerge to alter the way society should be run. And generally the society functions then in creating groups and “selecting” people that will represent their interests or some would just follow the laws. If we look into how people react on the things the state brings to us and we compare it from time to time, we can conclude that there are indeed changes in their relationship. We can learn that from just following orders and being guided by the state, people started not just to see and accept reality, but also criticize it. The state continue to do its best in creating laws and maintaining order, until people understand better their rights, it involve itself more in political issues and activities. The state provides more representatives and party list for the growing population; it tends to prioritize its obligations to the public. It barely controls the market; the society can experience the highest form of independence constricted by the regulations from the government which some people would still violate. Society leans on creating an equal and fruitful community with taste of self-judgment and freedom. The globalization brings the societies together, influence each other and connect with each other in different ways. While it makes the state work for development, stability, solutions to the society’s better kind of living. It somewhat bring the society to the doors of the state, while the state serve them with meals and gives the duty to wash their dishes. And it will depend on the kind of society if they will just get another meal before washing the dishes or just ask for more. While, many would argue the lack of support of their government and blame it for all the problems in the society (which is true in most cases or some), it is the partly the society that dictates our steps now, and we are part the society, which made us accountable also.
