I always go the extra mile, whether it be in sports or striving to earn a grade beyond the given grading scale. These are achievements I am often congratulated for; however, my acquaintances are blind to the amount of effort and extra time I put into my work simply because I want everything to run seamlessly. People often do not see how strenuous it is for me to earn good grades. These are difficult goals for me to achieve which is proven through my success in rigorous classes, such as honor level classes and AP courses. Occasionally, this may be noticed by my teachers. To add, being a friendly student allows my classmates to approach me with questions, all of which I never have trouble answering. Not only am I a high GPA student, I am also a great speaker, yet my peers hardly notice the work I put into keeping them entertained. Speaking is my gift and shows I am a leader willing to stand in front of an audience. When it comes to clubs and student run organizations, I have learned to become a leader and keep my audience’s attention. However, not all of the characteristics of being a leader have come naturally to me which is why Deca is a substantial part of my high school success.
