Christianity was founded in the 1st century C.E, by Jesus of Nazareth, in ancient Palestine under the Roman rule. It developed from Judaism whereby, by God is of 3 parts (Trinitarian monotheism), that of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Christians believe that Jesus is The Messiah sent to save humanity from our sins so that if we believe in Him, we shall have eternal life in Heaven. Christians believe in the word of God in The Holy Bible (everything in the Old Testament leading up to the coming of The Messiah) and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ (found in the New Testament). We are taught to be kind, compassionate and loving to all of God’s creation. We are also called to spread His word and the good news of The Saviour. Most importantly, Christians believe that because of what Christ has done, we are forgiven of our sins though our belief.

The spread of Christianity overtime replaced the old warrior religion changing the way of life, and at the giving it new meaning. With the coming of Christianity a hope for poets also came about. As the conversion of Ireland to Christianity took place a new era known as Ireland's Golden Age began to take over. Christian munks worked hard preserving literature of the ancient world and works of popular culture. Due to the rapid growth of Christianity the Anglo-Saxon's were given a common faith, a common system of morality and right conduct, linking England with Europe.
I will begin with Christianity from the in class lecture portion. Christianity has four prophets that were born in Israel between 740-536 BC. Their names were Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel. Christianity believes in one God; the “supreme being.” They believe that God is eternal and the creator of the world. Being the “creator of the world” Christians consider God to be the almighty father. Christianity is a theistic religion; this means a “Belief in the existence of a divine reality; usually referring to monotheism (one God).” "Theism." PBS. PBS, n.d. Web. 03 May 2014.” Christians believe in sin and that confession is the only way to redemption. They believe that those who sin and do not confess will be sent to hell. Each christian goes through a spiritual rebirth called Baptism. Lastly, christians believe that salvation only comes through God. When one believes in Jesus and does good work they will be rewarded with the afterlife and acceptance into heaven.
The single most important aspect of European empires, beginning just prior to the fall of Rome, is the spread of Christianity to all areas of the continent in as little as a few hundred years. Many theologians state that Christianities spread is the indirect influence of God and the adoration of people to one true faith. Though it is true that Christianity has brought about people that even atheists could call saints, it is unquestionable that Christianity was so monumental because it united larger groups of people and its spread is contributed to adherence to local customs and its lack of new ideas in comparison to other religions of the day.
Christianity has been nipped and tucked over and over by the time periods, different leaders, and many other forces shaping it. Christianity had a large impact on the Roman Empire as well as it served as an institution to unify Europe following the fall of Rome. Even in todays age Pope Francis is making a change to unify the church and state around Europe and has a vision for Christianity.
Jesus’ teachings created the religion of Christianity. Though Christians were persecuted during the beginning of time in which they began to spread, many factors helped to shape Christianity into the popular religion it is today. Christianity was able rise from just a Jesus ministry to a popular religion with the help of martyrdom, missionaries, governmental support and Jesus himself.
Christianity was first brought about by Jesus, who preached he was the son of God. After Jesus was hung on the cross and then resurrected one of his apostles, Paul, started the church. It first became popular in Jerusalem, and then continued to spread throughout the rest of the Middle-East, eventually reaching ...
Until 381CE, Christianity had experienced many persecutions. However, over time it became the central religion of the Roman Empire. Conversely, in the 11th century, Christianity had split into two main denominations, the Church of the East, known as the Orthodox Church, and the Church of the West, known as the Roman Church. This was due to the breakdown of the Roman Empire. Similarly, in the 16th century the ‘Reformation in Europe’ led to more divisions.
Essentially, Christianity was developed out of the other popular religion known as Judaism. It all started with Jesus, a child who was born in a small corner within the Roman Empire, to the woman known as the Virgin Mary. The Virgin Mary is well known due to the writings of Luke and Matthew that appear in the New Testament, which is part of the Bible. He was a Jewish child that is often remembered as being called Jesus of Nazareth or simply that he is recognized as being the Son of God. Jesus didn’t become well known until he was thirty years old, which is during the time that John the Baptist baptized him and he started his ministry by teaching, healing and working miracles .
Christianity is mainly founded on the life, death, teachings, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christianity was developed from Judaism during the 1st century, it has several different branches and forms which accompany different beliefs and practices. Christianity
The rise of Christianity in western civilization is arguably among the most important memories in history. There is no denying what the spread of Christianity has done for the world, for better or worse. Its impact on western civilizations is unrivaled and unprecedented. Christianity slowly became something for many individuals to turn to; in times of hurt its provided comfort, in times of pleasure it has given thanks. The will and belief for salvation has driven individuals to be better, and to have a reference while in need. The rise of Christianity more than 2000 years ago provided necessary building blocks for the future. Without Christianity there would be no cathedrals, no monasteries, no music from one Johann Sebastian Bach, no paintings from Michelangelo, nor no philosophy from Saint Augustine (Backman 205). There are countless times in history, whether good or bad, that can be credited to
