There is no way to be an honest student if you have never engaged in the entertainment of procrastination. Few of the motivated people in this world realize that procrastination isn't simply pointless nonsense. It has a pattern. A process. And it is overlooked by those of another mindset called productivity. If you are a procrastinator you will already know about these concepts and perhaps will want to add some suggestions of your own. For the more productive this mindset will not come naturally so that is why you now can refer to this paper to more effectively engage in the ancient art of the idle: procrastination.

The joy of procrastination is that you can apply it to absolutely anything you want and it will work every time. Choose a task from the top of your list. It is crucial that this be one of the most important tasks on your list! The level of importance of a task directly influences how much anxiety is induced by not completing it in a reasonable amount of time. By proceeding in this manner, you will almost certainly guarantee a last-minute panic attack while you are wasting your time trying to scroll down to the bottom of a blank excel spreadsheet. If you are lucky, you may encounter multiple panic attacks but continue wasting time anyway, thus maximizing the procrastination experiences. Randomly browsing the web and counting how many black specs are in a stucco tile becomes redundant so you will be motivated to work on something productive. Have no fear! This is a natural bodily response that is easily counteracted. Simply refer back to the list you made in step one. Place your finger at the top of the list and slowly slide it all the way down to the bottom to the least mandatory tasks. From this point, read your list backwards until something semi-interesting grabs your attention and do that thing. It could be organizing your spice cupboard or inspecting that one squeaky hinge in your garage, the actual task doesn't matter so long as it is small and easily completable. After oiling the single hinge, you will be filled with a deep sense of accomplishment which will trigger the reward sectors of your brain. This sense of entitlement will allow you to continue with peaceful idleness. If this is not the case and you still feel pushed to complete tasks, simply continue completing projects on your list from least importance to most. Procrastination is always successful so long as you don't complete the task you initially started until you have a small deadline and are rushed to complete it.
