Space Exploration Argumentative Essay

There are thousands of desks in Clay Middle School. If you look at them you will see many little black and brown specks. They all probably have hundreds of thousands of them. When I think about space exploration, I pretend that each speck is a different universe. To us, a universe is never-ending. However, I believe that a universe is actually smaller than we think. So when I look at a desk, I see hundreds of thousands of universes. So far, we know that our universe already has hundreds of trillions of different galaxies, including our own galaxy. And that's as much as we know, and we know there's more to explore. The hundreds of thousands of desks in the school would essentially have millions of galaxies. There is most likely something out …show more content…

For example, there are many planets that are earthlike and they could be the second earth. One example is, the Kepler Solar system has the most planet's most like Earth. For example Kepler 186f, Kepler 186f probably has liquid water on the surface, it is 500 light years away, it’s also 10% larger than earth and has a 130-day orbit around the sun. Lastly, it is in a habitable zone from its star meaning that it might be able to support life. Another example of something that could be earthlike is Kepler 438b. It is 470 light years away, it is slightly larger than Earth and circles an orange dwarf star that bathes it in 40% more heat than our home planet receives from the sun. Also, it completes an orbit around its star every 35 days and 12% larger than our home planet. Another benefit it creates more ideas from other people and spinoffs, or technologies used on Earth that were first pioneered in space exploration. Space exploration creates many jobs. For example, the mars rover project alone supported more than 7,000 jobs in at least 31 states. There are many commercialized advances the program says it contributed to, including “memory foam” (first used in airline crash protection), magnetic resonance imaging and smoke
