The early lives of John Adams and John Quincy Adams are different. John Adams?s father, who also named John, sent his son ? young Adams to Harvard College at age fifteen, and he expected him to become a minister. His father was working hard to make young Adams?s life different than his own which was to become an educated person. However, John Adams did not want to become a minister. After he graduated in 1755, he taught school for few years in Worcester, and that allowed him to think about his career choice. After much reflection, he decided to become a lawyer, and studied law in the office of James Putnam, a prominent lawyer in Worcester. In 1758, he was admitted to the bar. He put the skill to good use as a lawyer, often recording cases he observed so that he could study and reflect upon them. His report of the 1761 argument of James Otis in the superior court of Massachusetts as to the legality of Writs of Assistance is a good example. On the other hand, John Quincy?s father which is John Adams did not push him to become a minister. Moreover, John Adams brought young Adams to France (1778 ? 1779) and to the Netherlands (1780 ? 1782) to acquire his early education at institutions at the University of Leiden. America was born and survived, its rough road into a nation, through a series of events, or moments in history. The founding brother’s book is about a few important figures during and after the American Revolution. These important figures consisted of Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, John Adams, George Washington, James Madison, and Thomas Jefferson. Each of these men, contributed to the building of America in one way or another. The book breaks these contributions into a few short stories, to help understand what these important figures did.
The Sons of Liberty were somewhat heroes too. They did help the Revolutionary War start. Without the Revolutionary War, America might still be under rule of Britain. Also, they believed in liberty and democracy. Liberty and democracy is what America is run on. However, the Sons of Liberty were still fanatics. Although the Sons of Liberty helped start the Revolutionary War, it hurt America. Americans were not ready or equipped to fight and after the war, Americans struggled with economics and government for a little while. Also, the Sons of Liberty didn’t come up with liberty and democracy themselves, the whole nation agreed to it. There are some downsides also to having a democracy, the people can pick the wrong person suited for the job because of popularity or age, not facts or what could help their country out. Therefore, the Sons of Liberty were more of fanatics than heroes.

The notion that Thomas Jefferson had a revelation in 1819 and suddenly subscribed to the idea of “dissemination” is utterly false. Regardless, this belief is as widespread as it is erroneous. The few laymen who are aware that there was a revolution in Haiti and have made the connection between the insurrection and the Louisiana Purchase fail to realize the underlying motives of Thomas Jefferson. Historians too have been blind to the nuanced indicators that prove Jefferson’s true motives behind his Haitian, Louisiana Territory, and slave trade policies. They uniformly insist that his support for diffusion began nearly thirty years after it actually did. Thomas Jefferson’s conviction that slavery could only be ended with the employment of dissemination can be traced back to the 1790’s by a careful reexamination of his policies as president. The compilation of Jefferson’s exerted influence in Haiti, his purchase of the Louisiana territory, and his discrete avocation for the extension of slavery clearly indicate that he was attempting to end slavery by diffusion as early as 1801.

The could easily turn the Boston Massacre victims into martyrs who had sacrificed their lives to overturn the unmerited laws and acts of the British. The Boston Tea Party which resulted in the Intolerable acts which cut off Boston 's trade could be perceived as the Britain 's cruel and harsh laws. It was another punishment to the colonies that wasn 't right. The Daughters of Liberty were the women who received great honour from the people as they had taken up the making of clothes that everyone had depended on from British trade. The Son of Liberty was a secret group of American colonists who fought for the protection of their rights and taxation. One of my favourite members was Hercules mulligan who would become a key spy in the revolution for the patriots. The Committee of Correspondence in Boston communicated with the other colonies saying they should begin opposing the sugar and currency acts, much like Boston was doing, the states needed to act as one in this early rebellion. Even though the founding fathers were considered rich white men who only cared for their self needs, they are the ones who unified the nation when no one else would of. Their form of checks and balances among each other was key to the checks and balances in the constitution. Without these men the United States would be something different and would not have as much independence as it does now.
If you live in the United States, you probably are aware of the American Revolution. Most educated adults in America can name at least on hero of pre-Revolutionary America such as Samuel Adams, John Hancock, Paul Revere and Thomas Jefferson . But to what extent did these few men, credited with our freedom, actually participate in events that lead up to the revolution? How many countless men remained unnamed and unnoticed despite the work they put into the Revolution? These men have often been overlooked in textbooks, despite the fact most of the freedoms we have now are derived from their brave actions. But why did these men get the wheels of a revolution turning? What was the reason they had for their actions, the very ones that led America and Great Britain to begin a fight not only for freedom, but for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?
Sadly, this wasn’t without bloodshed and sacrifice that our forefathers pledged themselves to. They knew they had great wealth, families, homes, businesses, and everything to lose. However, they were willing to risk it all for the cause of liberty. These were real heroes. Heroes whose actions one often takes for granted as a free American. America is not free because of what has been accomplished in recent days. This is a two hundred and thirty-nine year victory. Of all accomplished battles, this is our oldest and by far the most important. The question was why did the founders write the Declaration of Independence. Let it be known that they did not for themselves but for their country. Modest men of great means and material wealth and they wanted and desired no praise. Humble men receive great praise because they don’t desire it but deserve it. Americans should always pledge their lives, their fortunes and their sacred
First, the Revolutionary War was the first instance of Americans preserving their freedoms. We were unhappy about how the British were treating us so we fought back. One issue was taxation without representation. Some people are still unhappy about how they are being treated by the government so they fight back, like the colonists. The concepts and ideals of these two men were a giant stepping stone to the democratic government that rules America today.
