World hunger is one of the biggest problems faced in our world today. “About 21,000 people die every day from hunger.” Most of these deaths are children under five years of age. There is a lot of food in the world, but people in poverty-stricken communities do not have access to well-balanced meals. “13.5 percent of the world’s population suffers from chronic hunger every year.” Longterm hunger can lead to many illnesses like blindness, anemia, malnutrition and other deadly diseases. In this paper I will be talking about problems of world hunger and solutions to end world hunger.

Many developing countries are in huge debt, leaving them with very little money to help improve their living conditions and solve their hunger problems. Cancelling the world debt is one solution that can provide these countries with the ability to start from scratch but that is difficult thing to do. If developing countries were to start from scratch and have nothing they would be able to develop their economy in order to secure themselves against future hunger problems, develop and import technologies to begin and increase the amount of output from their land and they could help fund imports of food from abroad.

There are many statistics and facts about world hunger which help to keep us informed about the rest of the world. For example, hunger kills more people every year than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined, approximately one in nine people on earth do not have enough food to lead a healthy lifestyle, two thirds of the total people in Asia go hungry every day and the vast majority of the world’s hungry people live in developing
