This is a struggle many young people have in today's society. You are told to go to school dress to the code, graduate go to university, get a job, get married have children, work some more, retire, live a life in set conformatitys and follow the society norm. While straying away from theses norms have traumatic consequences that will affect the way you are viewed in multiple ways. Ideas of norms and proper social interactions plays a major role in our lives today. Making us lose our innocent with every step towards adulthood.Parents once felt obliged to shelter their children from life's experiences, while today the belief is that children must be exposed early to adult experience in order to survive in an increasingly uncontrollable world. For example a typical 22 year old enjoys activities like smoke,drink or party hard in the club, they follow latest fashion and don't listen to elders in anyway. But there is a select few who don't enjoy such activities. These select few are considered strange or weird bny any social standard. This is solely because society has told them “that isn't how someone your age acts.” Breaking through these social norms is a struggle for anyone who doesn't follow the set path, for example if you have a kid before you graduate high school, you then are considered a slut or flimsy and get shamed for this, but coincidentally if you have a kid 4 years later it's a celebration of sorts.
