Social factors that affect teaching and learning in general.
There is a variety of social factors that account for the lack in efficient teaching and learning in general. The aim of this essay is to examine factors at school that affect teaching and learning in general. I will discuss factors outside the classroom, as well as those within the classroom and I will provide possible solutions.
Firstly let’s examine factors within the classroom, for instance physical condition. Physical condition refers to the environmental factors affecting teaching and learning in general. This accounts for essentials such as equipment, textbooks, stationery supplies, study material, classroom, electricity and water. Thus these are important in ensuring productive

Many parents are victim of poverty, due to lack of employment. A number of children are sons and daughter of unemployed parents. Therefore many children attend school on empty stomachs and as a result are unable to concentrate. Parents are unable to pay schools, thus the school will not have enough funds to supply the necessary resources: such as print-outs, textbooks and classroom equipment required to ensure efficient teaching and learning. The consequence of such poverty is the crime and violence that also affects the teaching and learning process. As a result of not being able to afford their own required stationery, learner resort to stilling from their peers in order to make up for this deficit. Stealing of any form be it still a pen or a jotter is still considered a crime, regardless of how petty other may view it as. Thus, when learners begin to still from one another it results in disputes and conflicts. Violence in schools results in the inability of learners to control and manage conflicts such conflicts. Therefore they attempt solving these conflicts with the use of knives. A numerous number of children carry weapons to school and use drugs and alcohol prior to showing up for school. All of the above mentioned factors need to be eradicated in order to establish efficient teaching and

When talking about school violence, it’s rampant in school and among the student is the cause of it, there are many students from a different background that they were brought by different behavior. “Studied of school violence have variously used terms a teen aggression, conflict, delinquency, conduct disorders, criminal behavior to describe the sources of the problem,” (Meadows 2014 pg.126), Some children have violent behavior in their blood may be because of what they have faced in their early life, their experience, even some are influenced by peer pressure and family, all this violent behavior make majority of student be a victim like peter case, what I think is lack of tolerance and he thinks people should be treated the way he was treated and the revenge is the solution to his problem. Some student doesn 't realize that a school is a subcultural place they can meet different race, skin color, physical appearance, religion, ethnicity and cultural difference, but being tolerance to other people is the key to solving the problem.
Furthermore, educational institutions are suppose to emphasize learning and teaching- it is children grow and learn more about the world each day. However today's educational institutions mostly rely on punishment, violence, and misbehavior. Guided by the mass increase of school shooting and reports of increase in school violence, schools around the world have recently adopted revolutionary solution and prevention methods.
This article is about children’s perspective and how to get valid meaningful information from the child’s perspective about their learning experiences. This paper focuses on a sociocultural perspective of children as learners in their own right and co-constructers of their own meaning of learning (Smith, Duncan, & Marshall, 2005). This article also looks at how children can contribute to and make meaning of their learning and how they express that. Children use meaning-making to make sense of their world through and by the experience of narratives (Wright, 2012, p. 26). School violence has become an increased peril, affecting not only those involved, but the society in itself. The underlying reason for this phenomenon is that it is derived from bullying and easy access of weapons. It can even happen by the hands of a person who does not attend the school where the act takes place. Bullying has become an epidemic in America amongst school children. Though there are rules enforced about weapons at school, the weapon is usually not detected until the incident takes place. I have witnessed violence in the form of fighting while in school, however, I have never imagined that it has become so aggressive and affects children at younger ages. We must take a bold stand to stop these incidents from occurring!
Schools around the world have recently adopted revolutionary solution and prevention methods. The controversy over school violence prevention is not "yes we should or, "no we shouldn't", because you will probably be hard pressed to find someone who thinks we shouldn't get involved. The debate lies in the method we use to prevent and solve school violence. The zero tolerance policy is one suggestion to implement punishment in schools.
There comes a time in person’s life when their must make decisions that will further go on to impact their life vastly. For many, that decision is whether to further their education or not. For those who do decide to further their education, they must choose which type of schooling is best, college or vocational schooling. Vocational schooling may appeal to those who are looking for an alternative and less expensive form of education. College, the more standard form of education, gives students the ability to have more flexibility since a variety of careers can be open to them from the major they choose. Both forms of education have its advantages and disadvantages, while benefiting the future of the student in the long run.
