In this quote written by John Lynch it expresses the fact that there are many differences within ideology and political parties but at the end of the day they are to serve people and they should be respected for their differences. Therefore, two major ideologies conservatives and liberals have nemours differences and similarities. In social conservatism feminism is based on the religious and traditional way women should be. They believe in traditional marriages and the ideal family. The role as women being wives and mothers in a family and they are anti-abortion of unwanted pregnancies. The social conservatives tend not to focus on women going outside the social context. Likewise, social liberals tend to emphasis women are entitled to full human rights, and that they are free to choose their roles in life. Therefore, they believe in right to education, employment, property, and to vote. Social liberals believe in women being politically active and they reject institutions of domestic patriarchy. They have “reformed labor government operating within social liberal equal opportunity frameworks were pressured by the new wave of feminist organizations into establishing feminist structures within state”. This created a structure where government keeps track of the gender impact of policy. They promote equal pay for work, women rights to choose, and gender equalities. In social conservatism sometimes support economic intervention where the intervention serves moral or cultural aims. They support a balance of fair trade and a free market. They are more concerned about material welfare, like advocacy of traditional morals , will often have a basis in religion. They believe in economic rights that they “should be able to freely sell their labors to any buyer enter almost any profession and sell goods and services to the market as a matter of freedom of exchange”. They oppose government regulation of business likewise they consider the government should keep their hands-off approach towards economics. They usually favor privatization over government control. They also focus on the low taxes to reduce the social spending to strengthen the military and criminal justice system. Therefore, there is less spending on social program like health care which according to them is not a right and it should be run by private companies. They support the lasissez faire style. They also believe in new right in which is a movement that advocates economically liberal and increased socially conservative policies.
