That's why safety equipment is very important. There are a few safety essentials all beginners and even experts should have before they have their first wipeout. Such as a helmet. There are certain ones made just for skateboarding, and before anyone buys one they should make sure the helmet fits without being so loose it moves, or too tight it hurts their head. Also the straps at the end of the helmet should fit around the head and buckle. Again make sure the straps are loose enough that the helmet falls off or too tight that the straps are uncomfortable. Another piece of safety equipment skateboarders should have is wrist guards and pads. Guards and pads are made to protect the user when they fall. They should be made from a hard plastic shell and fit snugly around the wrist, and they shouldn't cut off your

You may also see more torque when you are on the top of the mountain or hill and you are teetering on the edge. Putting more mass on the front of the snowboard will cause the front of the snowboard to droop downhill, therefore causing you to take off down the mountain. So next time you go snowboarding, keep in mind all the things that involve physics, but still have fun.

Assuming that you are at a resort, now you will have to get into the bindings. With the boots on your feet, select a flat area with the snowboard in front of you, and place your front foot in the front binding. Strap both the toe and ankle strap until they are secure. Repeat with your back foot. Bounce around a little bit to see what it feels like to be strapped into a snowboard. Now, take out just your back foot and leave your front foot in its binding.
If things go hectic you can jump off a Skateboard usually unscathed, but a snowboard is not the same. Snowboards you must be on anything with an angle ex: mountain, hill, bump and literally anything you can gain momentum on will work. Skateboards require you to generate your own momentum with your foot or using one of the many ways that a snowboard does. Skateboarding does not require snow as it has wheels and it can also not be done on snow.

So what causes athletes to tumble to the ground? According to the Osteoarthritis Health Center, “The knee is a vulnerable joint.” The knee is a complex system, made up of many parts that are made like delicate pieces of glass; they can easily be destroyed. The knee is formed by tendons, cartilage, ligaments, muscle, and some bone (Web MD). All of these components are sensitive pieces of the body. The Knee Pain Health Center suggests that the knee experiences wear and tear every day from a variety of activities. Sports, running, and even walking wear down the building blocks of the knee; the most common worn part is cartilage. Knees injuries are unpredictable. Aggressive actions, also suggested from the Knee Pain Health Center, includes any twisting or forceful turning. A swing of a bat, or winning tackle, puts the knee at risk for injury. Athletics that are dangerous to the knee include softball, basketball, volleyball, hockey, baseball, gymnastics, and football (Web MD).

One way I succeeded was by practicing. Everyday I would go to the hill in my neighborhood and practice. I would practice stopping, keeping my balance, and locking my ankles in place so my board wouldn’t shake. I would spend all evening after school riding down that hill and if it was the weekend, I would be outside all day! I brought my skateboard with me everywhere and I would practice on any hill I saw until my legs and feet hurt, I was determined to ride down that hill.
