The human mind is an object constantly under research of the world’s most knowledgeable beings, in hopes to decode the phenomenon of mind that leads the human race to fall. Lust, anger, gluttony, laziness, envy, avarice, pride: Each attribute familiar in some way to every individual, but what is it that drives them to partake in it themselves? Human nature is an inevitable force that has lead mortals away from purity since the fall of Adam and as technology advances, I feel that the wealthy facet of the human race no longer sympathizes with the sector of society that begs alongside the road. Pleasure with an absence of conscience is a flourishing quandary that seeps slowly into the veins of the next generations through the oblivious nourishment of their prosperous parents. The lost embrace with reality in the rich breadth of the world languidly drains the life from lower class families leaving them unfed, unkempt and penniless.
Pleasure without compromising morals has become less recognizable over time. After World War Two, the traditional family setting was upturned and the post war phenomenon known as the “baby boom” began. According to CNN, in 1957, the baby boom was at its peak with 4.3 million babies born annual and as of 2011 the babies born from 1946- 1964 maintained an unwavering 25% of the United States Population. However, an unfortunate statistic shows that an all-time high of 52% of women were not married before conceiving a child. Essentially, the baby boomer era was a long-term affair that contributed to the United States’ moral transition from traditional beliefs to an open mindedness that would escalate to future households living lives of luxury without contrition. ...lly active people will contract an STD by age 25. These particular facts are not generally pondered before the act, and here lies short term effects. The same theory ties together with the long term and short term effects of any type of pleasure without compunction.
