Abstract
The simulation exercise consisted of a scenario in which the student was to be a manager at an up and coming facility. There were 3 sets of tasks to be accomplished, and the results of the student's choices given immediately to the student. Each choice affected the outcome in some way, whether positive or negative.

Upon completion of this exercise, I discovered how truly difficult it is to make managerial decisions. The adage "You can never please everyone all of the time" holds true. I learned this first as a team lead for DJ Orthopedics, when I had to make some type of lower level managerial decision every day. Most of my day was spent troubleshooting problems that arose, and trying to figure out the best way to resolve them. During the simulation, I had to think very carefully about every decision I made, since one slight mistake could affect the entire outcome. In choosing, almost every decision had a positive and negative side to it. I made decisions I felt were solid, and in some cases I was completely off base.
In phase 1, I chose to modify the cardiovascular disease program and introduce obstetrics. I chose to modify the cardiovascular program based upon the research conducted, and the numbers that were presented in the simulation. Many of the people surveyed had some form of cardiovascular disease prevailing, and most were on medication for it. I felt that modifying the existing program would be beneficial. I selected obstetrics as a new service line, again based upon the research conducted. There were many responses indicating that obstetrics would be needed. I did very well upon both, and especially in the area of cardiovascular. The team was pleased with the decision, and we moved on to phase 2.
In phase 2, I chose to set up a CCU and to deliver the new obstetrics care service, option C. I chose the CCU due to the low costs and resistance, and also due to life experience in the area. In dealing with a CCU, I have noticed the patients tend to receive a higher quality of care. In the simulation however, it was not the best decision. The simulation feels the quality of care does not improve and I could have reconsidered the decision. My decision to choose process C for obstetrics was an excellent decision. It makes the facility full service for obstetrics services, and again it was based upon research, and life experience.
In conclusion of the My Virtual Life Simulation Program, I raised Luciano, my male child, until he reached the age of 18 years old. Luciano came about the world normally through a natural birth; labor lasted about 10 hours. Luciano inherited 50% of my characteristics through the survey taken prior to the start of the simulation. The other half was through the actions and changes that occurred throughout his life by the choices of my virtual partner and I and Luciano’s personal decisions later on in life. Certain characteristics Luciano developed resulted directly from the authoritative parenting style I chose to follow throughout the simulation. Despite minor setbacks towards the beginning, Luciano, developed properly in his psychological development which involved his physical, cognitive, social, and moral development, personality, emotional understanding, and peer competence. In the beginning years of his life he endured minor academic problems but later had no issue and was even involved in honor classes. He was also very social having
The first step in using the technique is to diagram the sequence of decisions and chance events that the decision maker faces.”

On the surface, the seven-member MGI team which comprised of Henry Tam and Dana Soiman – both current HBS MBA Students, Alex Sartakov – a Berklee College of Music student, Dav Clar – a MIT graduate student, and Alexander (Sasha) Gimpelson, Igor Tkachenko, and Roman Yakub – the MGI founders, seems like an ideal team, with each member bringing different experiences and technical skills to help with the business plan contest at HBS. However, as we will see in this paper, interpersonal dynamics, a lack of clear leadership, resulting in unclear team goals and individual roles, and a lack of healthy group norms, contribute to an ineffective team process at MGI. With the deadline less than three weeks away and the team without even a first draft of the business plan, Henry is certain that the team would not meet the deadline if it continued to function as it had so far.

With technology moving so quickly within the medical and nursing fields it is vital to embrace new and innovative ways to learn how to care for a patient. A nurse or nursing student is faced with the ever growing challenge of keeping up with new technologies. A fairly new way to gain education and build upon skills is with the use of simulated based learning. With the use a simulated nursing environment a student will be able to increase their level of understanding of new skills and technologies; this great resource has three major forms of real-life reproduction, can be used in many different areas of nursing, provides a means to evaluate a student’s understanding and demonstration of a skill, and eliminates the potential for harming a patient. With all education, the ultimate goal of mastering a specific trade or skill is the wanted end result. Simulated based education is a method that can be used within the field of nursing to accomplish this goal.
Supply and demand plays an intricate role in the amount, price, and availability of products and services. The applying supply and demand concepts simulation guides users through making decisions for Goodlife, a management company for 2 bedroom apartments in Atlantis. The simulation names the user the property manager; responsible for vacation residents, new pricing for units, and advertising. The property manager makes decisions in circumstances including the changing of supply cure, demand curve, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and the equilibrium of price and quantity. All of these decisions move the business along as conditions change around it.
Managing a business can be very stressful especially being that most times one would be making decisions that could lift or drive their business straight into the ground. (Arensmeyer 3) One of the most important th...
I am one of those guys that like to make the world a better place so I feel like if I used what I learned from business simulation I can help make the world a better place for sure. A major key to success for me is making sure the world is a better place so I feel like if I can open more businesses in the future I am changing the world because that will give people who don’t have a job something to do. The biggest thing that I learned from doing the module was managing your products for me that is a big key if you want to have a business because you have to make sure your business is heading the right direction. Like I said before what I can do with what I learned from this class is just to open up my own business because I feel like I can do that. I just need to be that one businessman that can change people life in so many ways by giving them jobs or just making sure they are taking care of. With what I learned in business simulation I can put it to use by opening up my own business even it is not a big business I want to open up something that I will put money in my pocket and also a business that will help me send to my family that living in Africa. They are depending on me so much so I feel like if I don’t have a business to support them let them down. That one of reason why I am taking business so I can just let my mother
