First, this story is about two men that had a lot of problems with each other, and soon began to overcome them by the end of the story. The two men's names are Ulrich von Gradwitz and Georg Znaeym. The main idea is that the two men fought all there life and now they have run into a big situation. As you read the story, many disastrous things happen to both of them along the way. Also, as you read and completely comprehend this passage, you will understand the main conflict and see how it is solved. Ulrich von Gradwitz and Georg Znaeym both experienced a disastrous storm. This lead to an external conflict. The conflict that they had was when the storm hit, they were both pinned down by a tree. When Ulrich was feeling languor, that gave Georg an idea that gained him strength. He looked at Ulrich, but he didn’t know if he was feeling the rite way about the situation that Ulrich was in. The reason he felt power was because Ulrich was injured, so that left him think that he could then kill him and he would be completely defenseless. The author put this in the story to show a very important message. The message that he was trying to get across was that you can’t always make quick decisions.
