America has had a rich history in the first for the revolution which can be perceived in two phases, that of the historic Civil War and the current generation form of insurgency. The cases of the two are relevant because a historical analysis indicates that there are notable similarities and differences between the two as there is a common goal of racism and liberalization that is apparent. Through the examination of the issues of racism and brutality in the Second Revolution and the Civil War, it is evident that there are correlations between the Second American Revolution and the Civil War.

A crucial viewpoint to examine the issue is the consideration of the role of racism as the main point of conflict in both eras. 150 years after the Civil War ended, it is still problematic that the US has to fight the poison that has existed for centuries. The context is, however, different because the racism is due to capitalism, social exploitation and racial oppression as depicted by the brutal use of force by the police due to prejudice and stereotyping (Oakes 195). The reality underlines the fact that the context of racism 150 years later is different from what was perceived in the past because it is more of an outcome of capitalism. It is thus different from that which featured in the Civil War because the Northerners and Southerners differed on the opinion of the handling and their release. Another similar outcome is that the Civil War and the Second Liberation are interestingly both linked with violence and the use of brutality (Blight 110).
