In the filming and photography industry, they are concepts that can be shared but also as well be quite different. Each industry works differently from each other. However, they need each other. Indeed, a picture a cannot tell the same story as film or video and vice versa. That is what make these two industries make people have different interpretations from their work. The similarities between these two industries are long due to the amount ideas and basics that these two industries share. The foundations are ISO, aperture, focus, shutter speed, lens, and manual mode, and as well the camera.
Both industries required at least a camera to operate with. There are many cameras specific design for just photography and filming but both do share same functions. Cameras for example like the RED ONE for filming industry and the DSLR Canon Mark III for photography. However, these cameras might be different, but have the same functions. Most cameras in today’s standards have the necessary functions ISO, aperture, focus, shutter speed, and manual mode. These industries have to use these tools to create or recreate a pause moment in time. After having the necessary functions, the camera does need lens.

Meaning photography tends to lean more how to capture the shot with the functions I have in the camera. Changing the ISO, aperture, and shutter speed as to filming will have it set up its functions to be the same through each shot. While photographer needs to control these functions manually to create the perfect shot they want to have. They need to know the amount of sunlight going through the camera.
