Religion
The topic I found most interesting to research is about Christianity and Satanism. I may sound bias because I grew up going to church and praying to God. I would go to church every Sunday with my family, we would do rosaries on special days and we would attend some of the events at church. My mom used to read in the alter and my dad used to be part of the choir. Now that I have grown I began to question things. Growth gave me the ability to make my own decisions. I started asking myself about the existence of God or how God created everything and how science is believed to be false every time it contradicts the bible.
My job is not to rip you away from your beliefs. You believe in what you want to believe in. Do not let anyone take that away from you. My job is to get people to look at things in another’s perspective. I am choosing to compare and contrast Christianity and all its forms with Satanism. Is Christianity really all that good? Is Satanism really all that bad? Why do we even still have religion? How does religion affect people’s choices and thoughts? Let’s imagine a world where family and region doesn’t affect your choice in religion or let’s imagine a world without religion. How would the world be? Will it be better or worse?
Fighting over religion will never resolve anything. There is no right answer but the answer you choose to believe in and this answer only applies to you and yourself only. Every single person has their own beliefs and people that don’t agree should respect that person’s beliefs. People were not mainly upset on the fact that his women vandalized a display but the process people had to go through just to get access to having the display. "The state can 't give itself the authority to decide whether certain religious messages are 'offensive ' — it needs to allow everyone 's speech or no one 's speech.” (Christian post).
Although people are protected by the constitution, they are not receiving the rights they deserve. People need to be set more aware that people should not be looked down on based on religion. Religion makes people into who they are and they should be shown deference. We have to learn to live together and acknowledge that we are not the same.

Citizens of America can choose their religion, they can also choose what they want to say, through freedom of speech. Freedom of speech has been a controversial issue throughout the world. Our ability to say whatever we want is very important to us as individuals and communities. Although freedom of speech and expression may sometimes be offensive to other people, it is still everyone’s right to express his/her opinion under the American constitution which states that “congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or the press”. Although this amendment gave people the right express thier opinions, it still rests in one’s own hands as how far they will go to exercise that right of freedom of speech.

The First Amendment clearly voices a great American respect for the freedom of religion. Although people argue that the Constitution is irrelevant today because it doesn't. properly define the goals of American Government. Separation of church and state is an issue in the forefront of people’s minds as some fight for their religious freedoms while others fight for their right to not be subjected to the religious beliefs of anybody else. With the creation of the Christian religion followers of it obtained peace and tried their best to avoid the impurities of the world, interestingly enough, these “worldly” impurities consume the religion that is Paganism, which Christianity is heavily based off of. As time has progressed mankind has always searched for their purpose. Religion is often used to help one discover their ultimate purpose and give them guidelines to live a pure life by that may be amorphous without spiritual guidance. The religious fundamentals in Christianity help its believers to fathom why they are on this Earth and what their greater purpose is. Unknowingly, they develop their character through this religion without knowing that it is heavily stemmed from Paganism! Many practices, cultural elements, and habits in Paganism are strongly seen as ignoble by a majority of the modern Christians. Humans have established their own rights in society for many, many years now. However, because some humans differ from the norms that are built in society, they are shunned and denied their rights until they conform to society’s norms. There have been numerous groups of people who have been denied their rights in America. African Americans, immigrants, Native Americans, and gays have been isolated simply because that is the way they were born into this world and others do not find them “normal”. There is another group that has also been mistreated though: people who identify themselves as transgender.
Typically, when someone thinks of religion, they think about worship of a higher power, compassion for all living things, and a general love of the world. Satanism, while a religion, does not fit these conventions. The faith holds no belief in a higher power, is rather selfish in nature, and paints a bleak picture of the world and its workings. In addition, Satanism has controversy riddled history dating back to the seventeenth century. Due to the religion’s unconventional nature, it is often looked down upon and its principles and values are ridiculed. To better understand a faith like Satanism, it helps to look at it alongside a more familiar and commonly understood religion like Christianity.
Christianity and Islam are two religions that grew from the same central idea of one divine being; they also originate from Jerusalem. However, the two religions bear great disparity but they also hold a few similarities. Both Islam and Christianity believe in Abraham as the forefather of both religions; they believe Him to be the founder of the two religions. The two religions have a holy book; Islam uses the Quran while Christians use the bible. Even though the two books do not bear the same teachings they are considered sacred in both religions. However, Christianity and Islam share a great deal of differences starting from the holy books, their beliefs, and the information contained in the respective holy book (Kavanaugh, 5).
