School uniforms should not be forced on students. Here are some reasons why not. They can get expensive and students cannot express themselves. Here is my reason why they should have to wear them kids do not get bullied for the clothes they wear. The first reason is they can get expensive. The average cost of school uniforms is 249 dollars. Just think of people who have more than one kid. You have to buy five for all the days of the school week. Then you still have to buy clothes to wear at home or going places(Pros and Cons of School Uniforms). The second reason is students cannot express themselves.When you have to wear uniforms your freedom of expression is taken away. Clothing is an important means to express yourself. The First Amendment of the US Constitution says everyone has the right to express themselves. Some children will be more mature than others, some will have better dress sense, and some will have more money at their disposal. What you don't want is some children turning up in fashionable new clothes and bullying the ones in their hand me downs who will inevitably feel embarrassed as a result. With a school uniform everyone is the same, thus no one can argue this point(Pros and Cons of School Uniforms).
