Players in the NBA certainly do make a lot of money. Many people think it’s preposterous, outrageous, and unreasonable the amount of money they earn. They may also think that these players are selfish and don’t earn their money. Since getting to the NBA and playing there is somehow a cake walk, and you are handed a massive contract without having to earn it, they don’t deserve big contracts. Getting to the NBA and staying there is an incredible task and players are rewarded accordingly. Although NBA players do make a lot money, they earn the money they get from their contract, and deserve all of what they receive.
With all the money these athletes are being paid they are selfish with it. Players are always looking for the contract with the highest number on it. Why could that be? They want all that money to spend on themselves. They always have the newest and nicest of everything. Not only do they have the newest and nicest things they have an excess amount of everything. Instead of driving a regular car, these players will have multiple cars worth then people's houses.

Players in the NBA last much longer in their respective sport than a NFL player does. The average NFL player plays for 3.5 years (BleacherReport) compared to 4.8 years in the NBA (BleacherReport). This shows that players in the NBA should be making more money because they play longer. Since they play longer they are more valuable to their team and harder to replace. A NFL player is much easier to find a backup or replacement since, there are almost four times as many NFL roster spots as NBA roster spots.
