Invasive species are everywhere around the U.S and other places. These plants and animals were introduced to a new environment by unnatural means, often by human activity. These invasive species could harm the ecosystem, destroy other wildlife, and alter the environment. What could be done to end this problem? Should humans take actions to reduce invasive species? Or should humans not take any actions and allow nature to bring itself back into balance? I believe humans need to take steps to wipe out invasive species, especially if the non-native species iharming the ecosystem. To begin with, these invasive species that came from another place could harm the ecosystem. Even domestic animals that people release into the wild could change the ecosystem and become an invasive species to an area. One article states,” With no natural predators, goldfish are rapidly populating in the Vasse river. They are harming the ecosystem there….,”(“Pesky Pets”,paragraph 2). When these species survives and reproduces in an environment that they are not supposed to be in it cause problems that could disturb sediment and release nutrients that trigger algal growth.
