Do you think child immigrants should be allowed to stay in U.S.A, even if they are illegal. I am all for kids staying in the U.S.A.
One reason why I believe that child immigrants should be allowed in the U.S because, “more than half of the immigrants are legal. But, we just keep on throwing them out, or not letting them in. Yet, they apparently don’t care about these people, and they judge people by their race, or by their color.
Many kids are involved around the world in violent wars as child soldiers. These children who were forced into being soldiers had no other choice but to face their own death and therefore should be granted amnesty. This is because the great majority of the kids were forced into being war fighters. Even then, some people think that just because they’re kids doesn’t change the fact that they have performed horrible acts, and that they should be punished for their actions. Also, these kids were forced to take drugs and drink alcohol which influenced bad decisions and made them less thoughtful about the harm they were doing. So, child soldiers should get another chance and be granted amnesty after proven worthy.
By the late nineteenth century the economic lines in America between the upper and lower class were quickly widening because of the boom of urban industrial expansion. Moreover, during the 1800s, America witnessed an influx of immigrants coming from many parts of the world, they made tenement houses in New York’s lower East Side a common destination. One person witnessing the living conditions of these tenements was journalist Jacob A. Riis. For several years, Riis, with camera in hand, tooked a multitude of photographs that depicted the atrocious working and living conditions in the New York slums. Riss reported that the tenements were severely overcrowded, unsanitary, and a breeding ground for crime and disease. Riss also claimed that the “slum” landlords of these tenements exploited immigrants by charging them more rent than they could afford. As a result, every member of the family had to work—even young children. Subsequently, in 1890, Riis wrote a book entitled: How the Other Half Lives: Studies Among the Tenements of New York, which included his horrifying photographs and sketches, as means to expose to the middle class the chaotic environment of tenement living. Although Riss’s book exposes a myriad of social and economic problems regarding tenement housing, one of the more prominent ills his photographs and prose reveal is the harsh and distressing reality that immigrant families from the lower class must treat their children as a form of labor in order to survive. With this in mind, by describing and analyzing three of Riis’s photographs, I will demonstrate the validity of my argument which portrays the exploitation of child labor.
Again O’ Neil brings to light the struggles faced by immigrants in another article: “Young Illegal Immigrants Coming Out of the Shadows”. In her article, she recognizes the voices of those who critique the way the governments handles immigrants in this excerpt: “Even critics who are sympathetic to their [immigrants] cause say the federal government has failed to secure the U.S. borders and that it 's too costly to provide schooling, hospital care and other public services to non-citizens”. In spite that providing for non-citizens can be difficult to accommodate, that does not mean they should be completely turned away from government aid. O’ Neill states the following about the children of immigrants who manage to complete an education: “But only a federal law can give undocumented youth green cards, so even those who manage to graduate find themselves stuck: qualified lawyers, engineers and teachers who can only work menial jobs, in the shadows, like their undocumented parents”. After trying to make a life for themselves through education, undocumented youth still struggle to achieve what could come easily to a citizen even though they put the same, if not more effort, into getting where they are
Some people think that undocumented children should not be able to attend college because it would encourage too much immigration. In fact, immigration makes America more diverse and makes America respected and a strong independent country. Undocumented
I have to introduce you to three individuals, not random individuals, but siblings - two brothers and a sister. They may seem just like any other people, but they have a secret that isn’t easily realized unless you know them. They belong here in the sense that they were born here, but their hearts belong to another land. They are the children of immigrants; the first generation to be born in America. It is a unique experience that to others may seem odd or exotic, but for these three is just as normal as learning to ride a bike.
Immigrants are defined as people who permanently move to a forgiven country from their origin country. Immigrants can move for the purposes of seeking better living, better education, or in order to avoid any sort of issues in their origin country. Despite the reasoning behind the decision of the movement, an immigrant will be affected by the change of culture, way of life, social system and community. The process of the movement effects each individual differently depending on their, age, gender and their level of connection to their past culture. Having that said, the younger the age of the individual, the more venerable and easily they become to changing their way of life in order to feel a part of a community. Gender however is also related to the race of the person. To elaborate, females and black males are more open to the idea of changing any of their factors to adjust to their ‘new society’. An individual’s connection with their past culture, has a great impact on their personality and their standing and belief in their values, morals and culture. Therefore, the stronger and deeper the connection with their original culture and way of life, the more satisfied the individual becomes. Therefore, they don’t feel the urge to compete with another culture. Therefore, their current standing with their own culture has a strong impact on their future judgment on other culture. The weaker the connection the more prone they are to changing their current culture. Thus, an individual’s stability level towards their culture depends on other factors that are concerned with them. Based on "The Bill of Rights", foreigners do not have the right to enter the United States, but once here, immigrants are entitled to certain broad constitutional protections. In due process, immigrants have the right to be treated fairly, whether in a deportation hearing or a criminal court proceeding applies to every person within The United States borders. And Equal Protection prohibits discrimination based on race or national origin. An alien's rights to free speech and religious freedom are protected under the First Amendment. The Refugee Act of 1980 gives certain aliens the right to political asylum in the U.S. New immigrants to our country are not a scourge as some politicians claim. In fact, they can help solve many of our economic and social problems. Therefore when a child is born of illegal parents, the child should not be refused welfare. In other words, the child should not be treated as a second class citizen. In fact since it was born in the United States, he or she is to be considered a United States citizen because that is exactly what he or she is.

This is the same case with the immigrants that come in search for a better future and to be able and live a better life. That is not the case with most immigrants that have American born children. They are getting deported when all they want to do is be successful and take advantage of the great opportunities the U.S. offers. The American Dream, is what every immigrant looks for when coming to the United States. But it's not all it seems to be. There are consequences, stereotypes and pressure put on the children of these immigrants. 40% of children in immigrant families have at least one parent who is mexican born. As stated by Childtrends.org. This means 40 out of 100 children have pressure on them whether it's by their parents (because they are immigrants) or by society by placing stereotypes.
But they’re many immigrants who pay their taxes and do everything right under the law. It still wouldn’t be right to take that privilege away despite their parents “lack” of knowledge. Some don’t know but it can’t be their child’s fault they don’t know better, if we educate these kids correctly they will do things correct under the law when they’re older and even educate their parents to make things right and continue forward. The term anchor baby is pretty hurtful considering, they are saying that their parents only came to this country illegal so they would have a right to stay here, when many kids have been separated from their families. “anchor babies” basically according to Donald trump means the mother has the kid on the border of united states just to grant her kid the citizenship which would benefit them later on. As Senator Schumer, in Upfront Magazine, 2016 made clear, “11 million undocumented people who live in the shadows, fearing deportation each day, most of them working to earn their sons and daughters a chance at the American Dream?...Our immigration laws threaten to tear apart families…” Schumer’s point is that most of these people are coming to America for refuge, for a better life, but instead are being shamed for being illegal. He’s saying that these immigration laws are biased to the fact that every illegal immigrant is a criminal. Of course it is possible to disagree with the view that immigrants will continue to be afraid and scared of their families falling apart and losing their loved ones and instead argue that these undocumented immigrants are breaking the law and are justified to have their families split. However, the weight of the evidence is on the other side. What must be remembered is that their argument is discriminatory. These immigrants are still people. No humane person wants to be disconnected from their families, therefore it should not be wished upon others. All of these people are trying to be permissible people and live with their families, but the immigration laws are turning their heads to this

This has caused a very controversial debate because in the 14th amendment is states “all persons born or naturalized in the United States,” which included former slaves recently freed” which mean that they are citizens. Those children have been born in this country and should have the right to be called American
