Where do you go when you are physically hurting? I have been to my pediatrician too many times to count. Whether it was something minor such as strep throat, the stomach bug, sinus infections, double ear infections, bronchitis or an illness as extreme as pneumonia, mononucleosis and gastroesophageal reflux disease, somehow my doctor always made me feel better. There were times I thought I was going to be sick forever but my doctor did everything he could to nurse me back to health because that is their job. Their profession is to cure their patients, but what if their patient is incurable and the only way to end their suffering is to end their life? To be a doctor means to help the ill at any costs but do they have the capability to go as far as ending one's life? Assisted suicide is when a practitioner injects lethal drugs into a patient suffering with a terminal illness ultimately to terminate one's being. The practice of assisted suicide should become legalized since it will benefit the people who suffer greatly from failing health that they have no control over. …show more content…

Assisted suicide is usually a cry for help and the person should be given a chance to work through the pain rather than trying to end it all.
