Jace was ready. He was determined to win his game. As he’s squatting down at the catcher's box, he sees a ball hurtling towards him. The batter swings, he misses. As Jace moves his hand slightly to the left, he feels a ball in his hand. He had caught the ball! He jumped up screaming, “We won! We won! I can’t believe we won!!” As he walks over to the other team to say ‘good game’ he can’t stop smiling. He and his teammates were so happy that it called for a celebration. They decided that the next day they were going to go to Worlds & Oceans of Fun. The team was texting each other later that night trying to figure out a ride situation to go to worlds of fun. Jace went to look at his phone and realized that he didn’t have it. They checked all of their bags and nothing. Jace went back in his mind and remembered that it was at the patriot. That was on the complete opposite end of the park! As they started walking back to the Patriot, they were passing the ripcord and all of a sudden an older woman passes out right in front of them! The boys knew that they had to do something. They ran to the nearest ride to tell a worker that they should call the park paramedics. The paramedics came and got the older women. When they had finally gotten to the patriot and had checked all of the bins, they realized that there was only one place it could possibly be...the Mamba. As they decided what they should do to retrieve Jace’s phone, something popped into Luke’s head. He thought about Jace’s mom and when she was going to pick them up. He told Jace and Will and they needed to make a decision quickly. Will decided that they should all run over to the Mamba. As they were working their way to the Mamba Jace could feel his heart beating because he knew his mom was most likely worried. He tried to take his mind off of it, but he just couldn’t.
