The “Sherlock Holmes Dossier” Project was one of the most creative and unique projects in which I have ever participated. In most projects, students are told to complete standard assignments, such as writing an essay, conducting an experiment, or creating a slideshow. In this project, we were instructed to use our imagination. We were asked to create a personal file for a character from “The Hound of the Baskervilles” by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I was assigned the main antagonist, Mr. Jack Stapleton. A naturalist and an undercover abuser, identity thief, and murderer, creating a personal dossier for this character was a fascinating process. I created a variety of files, including a fake birth certificate, a mock Facebook account (a collection of captioned photos in a slideshow) including many relevant posts, and a written plan to murder Sir Henry Baskerville. This project was not just analyzing a character through writing or a test; it was stepping into the perspective of the person. I thoroughly enjoyed the process because it allowed me to exercise my creativity.

I would be interested in joining the jazz program as a pianist or perhaps try a singing group. I have not had many opportunities to participate in singing, so high school may be an ideal time to try. I also would like to join robotics. Robotics teams are an exciting way to integrate engineering and teamwork, and I hope to continue this into high school. I would want to keep debating in Model UN, as I have taken part in twelve conferences over four years. I also have been running cross-country for three years in a row now. This year I was elected captain by the team. I would love to be involved in activities outside of the Milton classroom, because being teammates with your classmates gives a certain sense of school
