The ancient Chinese dynasties social structure was a very complex system. Social hierarchy healped keep peace in ancient chinease civilizations. The social hierarchy changed over the thousands of years, but remained very similar throuhought the differnet ancaint chinese dynasties. The Xia dynasty was the first dynasty. The Xia dynasty started in 2070 BC lasted until 16oo BC. The dynasty was established to be legendary but archaeologists are sure that it existed, but due to the fact that there is no written history about it they could not establish it as a actual dynasty. The social structure in this dynasty is not 100% accurate based on the fact that there is no written evidence about this dynasty it is an orally develop dynasty. From what First came the King the King just like in the Shi dynasty had the upmost respect from the people and was the most powerful person in the dynasty after the King candy aristocracy the aristocracy was made up of the royal family and of other wealthy wealthy members of the dynasty these members lives in and yang the Shang capital they also worked in politics that dealt with the Shang Dynasty the dynasties regional territories were also controlled by the aristocracy. After the aristocracy came the military the military all the third on the social class was a very respected class there were two types of soldiers there were foot soldiers and warriors both were respected and what they did for the dynasty after the soldiers came the artists and craftsman is comprised of the middle class the largest contribution that they did was there work in the bronze industry bronze weapons were a major signifier of the Shang Dynasty the treasures that they made were often bought by the aristocracy at the bottom of the social class were the peasants the peasants made up the most prominent social class they made a profit from farming and selling crops archaeologists have found that many peasants were buried with the aristocrats this makes people believe that these peasants were the equivalent of slaves that were buried with the Kings have a lot of responsibility and a lot of privileges for instance they were able to have many many wives and they usually spent more time with the ones they favorite they also had a group of advisors with who they help them with making important issues and decisions. Right below the king came the generals the nobles and the workers first came the nobles this group consisted of the aristocracy and the noble family. The aristocracy and the nobles had certain responsibilities in from the gym just like the King Day although they answered right to. After this came the military and scholars. These were respected and held very highly. Many families tried give their children the best education possible in order to get them to the scholar class. The scholarship class were right under the general or military class. This was the most accessible class for a patient. Artists and cousins came later on the social hierarchy they were on the very bottom. Peasents were the lowest or the ranks. They were also the most prominent class.
