There’s a lot of restrictions that shackle the mind in real life and I think that’s what Plato was trying to show in the Cave. In the story when the prisoner was freed and taken out into the real world where it's bright and free. This is relevant to this question because he couldn’t understand the outside world and it shackled his mind and he didn’t understand it. There’s other scenarios that shackle the mind in this story and in real life. Let me explain as to way I think this.

One thing that shackles my mind and in the story is why the prisoners wanted to kill the prisoner that had seen the outside. I don’t understand this because as far as I can tell he was the leader. So why would they kill him if he was the leader of the prisoners? This is because there’s a lot of stuff that shackle everyone's minds the real world. One action that shackles my mind is the fact that people can’t have an open mind. A lot of people aren’t open to new things and we have to be open to that in the real world after high school and a job. So not being open minded shackles my mind. Another action that shackles my mind is the fact that people even after they do the wrong people continue to do it. That’s just shows that people can’t learn from their mistakes and these people will never learn from them too. Also another reason that a mind can be shackled is the fact that people mostly high schooler and junior high students are so into music? I think from personal experiences it’s a way to cope with certain issues in life at home or in school. I want to know this because some many kids use music and everyone may use it for different reasons.For example maybe they are going through depression and music can help them get their feelings
