Serendipity Mystery by R.F. Christi is the 7th book of the "Inca book series". The book Serendipity mystery is the diary of a snoopy cat Inca during her visit to Sri Lanka. The story is about the detective cat Inca and her team "Inca & Company" which includes her brother Fromage, sisters Cara and Charlotte, and Terrance, who is the doggy of a famous detective Solo.

The story begins with the travel of Inca's family to Sri Lanka. Inca and her family comes to their private beach at Galle to spend holidays. On the beach Inca finds some new sorts of animals which appears somewhat bizzare to her at first sight. They includes Rani, the turtle and Meenu, the baby elephant. However, Inca finds them interesting and they soon become good friends. In the meanwhile, an antique sword from the museum of Colombo gets stolen. The director of the museum calls the famous detectives Solo from France to investigate the case. Solo is Inca's neighbour and his dog Terrance, is a member of Inca & Company. Inca, with her team decides to get involved in the case. They investigate the case like professionals and finally find the sword. …show more content…

The author has selected easy words, taking concern of the children. The text has very few instances of typos and hence appears professionally proofread. The text is well illustrated with beautiful pictures. It is an important criteria for a children's literature. The text has a family tree of the protagonist at the very beginning itself, and also a list of the members of "Inca & Company". The advantage of this is that children would find it easy to recognise the characters while reading.
