After three long years of high school it is finally time to experience one of the greatest years of my life, senior year. There will be a lot of lasts this year. Last first day of school, last homecoming, last volleyball game. This year is all about making memories with my friends before we graduate and go our different ways. While I know it is important to spend time with my friends, I have recently discovered the stress surrounding college applications and test scores. All at once, everyone was applying to their dream schools and I am still undecided on where I want to go. My parents aren't helping the situation by constantly interrogating me about what I want to do. While most people are going to stay close to home, I feel like that isn't
As young girl with big dreams I imagined my senior year of high school to be one of the best years of my life. I imagined going to homecoming with all of my friends, being the captain of the varsity soccer and cheerleading teams, going to Friday night football games, going to Prom with my perfect date, and going on a senior trip with all of my best friends. I never imagined my senior year to be the way that it is. I am the new kid.
Wow, three years have passed and the last day is just as long as the first. Three years of hard discipline and learning to get used to homework every night. Three years of standing on the front steps waiting for my parents and saying goodbye to my teachers. I never thought the goodbye might be permanent. 6th grade came and I was looking up at those giant 8th graders, and now I guess I’m one of them. 6th grade, and I was saying hello, and now 8th grade has come and it’s gone from introductions to goodbyes as my last days as a middle school student wind down.
The best times of senior year include parties, prom, and getting out of this hell hole (aka high school) to college. It 's senior year, go out have some fun, hit the blunt and drink up like a fish. Go to prom it 's a guaranteed good time. Take a loan out of the bank and get yourself an education in an undecided major for college soon. You got this. High school is the best time of your life and senior year is just 8/10ths of the slice of cake.
My project that I will be doing for my Senior project is helping out the Swan Falls Assisted living center here in kuna. I would be playing games, helping them get around, make cookies, and anything else they need. I want to give back to my community and help others out as much as I can. I also would like to donate blankets and warms socks to everyone that lives there since it’s winter and its cold. It’s a very nice and generous thing to do and some of those people in there don’t get to see their family since they live out of town, work, or medical issues.
Southeastern University is a private, Co-ed, Christian university. SEU’s main focus is to equip their students to be a next generation of leaders so that they can enter the real world as influential servants to their careers and communities. Southeastern university offers a plentiful amount of study programs, even the program I am interested in which is Human services. I selected this school First because it is a Christian college, and Second because of the programs of study. I chose to go to a Christian college because I grew up in a Christian household and because I believe in Jesus. I also chose Southeastern University because of the programs of study. SEU was one of the few colleges that had a program of study that I was interested in.
Coming into my senior year I was very anxious and ready to get it over with. Everyone kept telling me that it was going to be the easiest year of high school, but I completely disagree. I would not say it was my hardest, but most definitely not the easiest, I did enjoy it though. It was very fun during the whole year, but once it came down to the last three or two months I began to give up. I was so ready for it to be over, and the more anxious I was the slower it seemed to get here. Unfortunately, I missed the main things that really mattered this year, like my cap and gown fitting, my last year book picture; all because I did not want to come to school this year. I really did not see no point in coming since I only needed two more credits to graduate, but in the 3rd quarter my
Junior High is a very stressful place to be. There are many teachers who inspire you and are nice to you, but you have been the teacher to stick out the most to me(in the most amazing way, of course). You always make sure I am ok and if I am not then you sit down with me and give me advice on what to do. I have never had a teacher do that for me before. An unknown person once said, “The best teachers teach from the heart. Not from the book.” That quote reminds me so much of you because this whole school year I have seen that you truly do care about your students and their well-beings.
Senior Year. The year that is your last one until responsibilities catch up with you and it’s time to get serious. I don’t think that’s true; We’re all loaded with responsibilities no matter the age or time; even at the age of thirty, the task of tidying up is still the creeping feeling that haunts the back of the mind until attention is given to it. Though in high school, the main responsibility is graduating with good enough marks to get somewhere but I am part of the group whose main responsibility is graduating with flying colours and a scholarship from the university I intend hope to attend. It sounds grueling and it is, but it really only ever feels burdensome if there’s no purpose to it. A Scholarship is a purpose so
After the tour ended, we walked around Wall Street and visited a few markets to call it off as a long, busy day. One question that remains in many heads from time to time is if they are excited for the year to be over or are savoring all of the memories until graduation. Personally, I’ve wanted to get this year over with since the beginning. Some of the teachers I’ve had previously will always come to mind especially those who were genuinely interested in what they were teaching us and made sure they cared for the students. Teachers like Ms. Walker easily fit the example because her teaching turned out well for students who did their work. Overall, the senior year started off smooth and it went by fairly quickly in my opinion. I spent most of the time with different colleges and which one would perfectly suit me. I went on trips meeting new environments and how it correlates to the profession students would try to pursue in the near future. Despite some of the difficulties I faced during the year, I still had a lot of fun meeting new people and seeking out new careers that I never thought would peak my interest. Linden High School is the final conclusion of this story and it has been a wild four years of being a
As a freshman, I have three long years to go to finish high school. It seems like a long time but every year, the school year passes by even faster. Just this freshman year, I have grown as a student by investigating the world/taking action. I have also been preparing for college and looking into some scholarships. Even though I want to do well and grow intellectually, I want to enjoy my high school experience. It is not going to be an easy task. But everything at this point will affect my future.
High school is a very nice experience, I am very lucky to live and be part of one of the most powerful and educational driven nations as the United States. In I'm opinion High school, like college is an environment of choice, where a student as myself can choose what he wishes to learn. from French to chemistry, schools offer a lot of unique preparation for the future of their students. I have many rewarding projects and academic courses that will help me achieve my future goals. From the time I participated in “earth day” and helped cleaned a park to being able to enjoy learning something I like, like French.
My second year in high school has been way much better than freshman year was. Last year was a rollercoaster both inside of school and outside; academically this school year is better because I feel that I try better to understand a topic in class and don't give up as fast as I did last year. An area I struggle with is writing essays.Writing In order for me to be successful as a student is to ask for more help and not shy away from it I have a habit of thinking that I can do it all by myself but it's not true Also I need to work on time management sports and school i
January 15, 16, 17, and 18, 2016 are the days that I want to remember for my senior year. Those few days were the 2016 unitown and Leadership Camp. This was my second year going into unitown, but this time I was going in as a counselor rather than a delegate. Going into the camp I already had an idea on what I expected because of last year but well. I was emotionally drained.
Wake up, get ready, go to school, extracurriculars, come home, repeat. Day in and day out, that is the basic schedule of an average high school student. Students spend an average of seven hours a day in school, so what are they learning there? Here is a list of some important life skills that you will not learn from your public high school:
What kind of college should a student go? Is college even necessary to go? These are the questions I should be considering while I think about my future. It seemed like that the time to decide the future plan was in the far future. However, time to think about my detailed future plans have now arrived. After I read many articles and do many research, I think going to 4 year college or university would fit best for me.
