Self-efficacy has an effect on job performance by the level of confidence and belief a person’s has in their ability to perform a specific task. A person must believe they have the required skill acceptable to carry out a job duty or challenges well. Self- efficacy, self-esteem and self- worth is having a sense of competence and confidence in one’s own abilities. The most challenging encounter the student has experienced up to this moment is the decision to go to college and seek a higher education. Upon making the decision to return back to school after many years from graduating high school, the student a high level of confidence in addition to lots of support from family members and friends.
