In fact, every single mother within captivity has had its calf taken away around age 2. This isn't going to stop without your help. Plus, the other three Orcas have very very low chances of finding their pods ( families ). So the alternative would be to stop breeding or capturing Orcas. We also need to retire the ones we already have in captivity. Then the Orcas would be allowed to be in a somewhat more natural environment. Instead of having to do stupid tricks 24/7. After the rest of Seaworld's Orcas pass on then the rest of the marine life would be given to marine biologists tanks. Seaworld on the other hand, believes that Orcas need to be ripped from their mothers at age 3-4 because it makes them “ more money.“ Don't tell me that Seaworld never knew that taking the babies away was going to make the mothers depressed. There is a TON of film evidence of the mother's just wailing and screaming for their babies to come back. There was a case at Seaworld of a 34 year old female whale named corky who was at a normal level at health. Corky had a calf and at around 3 years old the calf was taken away from Corky. That same week not only 3 days later Corky died, Seaworld said it was a “coincidence.” You can't tell me that Corky died for just some random occurrence. That whale had just had her baby taken away from her! Corky just lost the one thing that she saw anything to live for.
