Scientology does not regard itself as a religion, but more as technology that helps people to find freedom and release through spirituality. It falls on the lower end in terms of followers, with only. The Church of Scientology was founded by Scientologists in 1954 but the subject and ideology was founded by L. Ron Hubbard in 1949. Scientology believes in the creation of the world through a galactic Lord named Xenu. Seventy-five million years ago, Xenu brought billions of people to Earth and put them around volcanoes, then proceeded to blow them up with hydrogen bombs. Instead, Scientology is aware of having a Supreme Being in power but calls it the Eighth Dynamic, or the Infinity. Scientologists who reach the Eighth Dynamic through auditing form their own conclusion on the Supreme Being. According to the official Scientology website, auditing is a form of listening and responding to commands and questions in order to achieve truth and freedom. In addition, Scientologists believe in the good of humans as a whole. They believe that the person is made of three parts, the body, mind and thetan. Thetan is the true essence of human beings, also known as the soul. The official Scientology website states: “Man is a spiritual being endowed with abilities well beyond those which he normally envisages. He is not only able to solve his own problems, accomplish his goals and gain lasting happiness, but also to achieve new states of awareness he may never have dreamed possible.”(Scientology Beliefs & Practices: What is Scientology) Scientology does not include an official belief about the afterlife.
