Dear; school board president
I have heard that recently you are deciding weather to keep funding school sports or to not. their are so many reasons why you should keep funding sports. The three that I will be talking about are Playing sports gives kids confidence. School sports have potential educational benefits. and helps kids create strong friendships. Playing sports gives kids confidence. Have you ever played a sport? Have you ever felt the rush when you score a goal, shoot a basket, hit a homerun, run the fastest, throw the farthest, score a point, or anything else that made you feel good in a sport. One would feel excited and would be “praised” for their accomplishment. When this happens a person would be very confident in themselves and proud. If you didn’t play a sport the only thing you would be excited about is a grade but if you don’t play a sport you're more focused on you work there for you get good grades.
How would playing a sport benefit you in an academic way? Wouldn’t that just bring your grades down because you're more focused on your sport than school? You may be asking these questions. From personal experience of play for my school I would try my …show more content…

When you play for a school sports team there is at least one thing that you all have in common and that is your all playing a sport you love for your school. There are usually shy people and very outgoing people. When you have an outgoing person and a shy person the outgoing kid brings out the best in the shy kid to also help them become more talkative. I used to be that shy person until I started softball all the way back in third grade there was one person that really never shut up but that was good and once I got to 8th grade to be the “upperclassmen” of the team I am doing the same thing.
