School lunches have been in insufficiency in its system of providing the quality food to students to even wanting to consume school food. Everyday school offer a lack of proper meal that student will not ever talk about having good memories about food. The food doesn't have a very good taste of a meal, and it tasted like leftover food that has been reheated from a microwave. School food doesn't provide fresh food to the students that eat it. The district that control food is wasting their money on food is being thrown away of losing money. Food quality has been lacking over the taste of freshness flavors that make students wanting to ditch our school to get better food from a market or restaurant place. For an example like this: the food tastes like from leftovers and been reheated from a microwave. It means that the school needs quality of food. School food in “the program cost around $9 billion” (Waters & Heron) wasted on no quality food that students on their own will are going to eat it. From that $9 billion only cover low-quality food to provide to school. The students are willing to starve from breakfast and lunch until school time is over to eat at home than eating at school which they don’t provide a homemade food in school. This is an effect on students that want to learn but can’t because of all they can do is think about going to eat out or go home and eat when school is done. This makes “Parent advocacy groups likes Better School Food have rejected the National School Lunch Programs and have turned instead to local farmers for fresh alternatives” (Waters & Heron) for a better option to find the better quality of food. The obesity rate need to stop, and it have to start off the bombardment of advertising the fat and junk food that we don’t need. About “$1.5 billion a year,” (Brody) from state of California that amount of spends on unhealthy from people that had consumed. As for health concern that many people that eat up tons of carbohydrate that makes young people and adults having a Type 2 Diabetes. “Children’s physical well-being not to the continued spread of youth obesity,” (Brody) which the U.S. need to invest their time to keep people having Type 2 Diabetes in their young age.As this can also translate to school. In school need to rely on local grown food instead of “unprocessed foods that are produced without pesticides or chemical fertilizers,” (Brody) of food coming from a factory. Government needs to fund the school to able to afford healthy food. Stopping the obesity rate need to be counted
