San Antonio’s rich cultural heritage, historical significance, and natural beauty make it a great weekend destination for people of all ages. Whether you want to enjoy a romantic weekend with your special someone or have some fun hanging out with the kids, a weekend in San Antonio will not disappoint. I spent a couple of days in this beautiful city with my family once and have wanted to go back ever since. Many of the city’s main attractions are within walking distance of each other. 1. I chose the Alamo Cenotaph Monument in San Antonio Texas. It is located adjacent to the front of the Alamo. Construction began in 1936 and took two years to complete. It was created by sculptor Pompeo Coppini from a design envisioned by architect Carlton Adams. The state of Texas provided the money to build the monument. It is sculpted using Georgia marble and the base using pink Texas granite sunk in concrete. The sculpture features a 60-foot-high shaft, sloping capstone and a 40-foot-long base.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.— It was a packed house in ten Hoor hall on Tuesday night as several journalistic societies on campus sponsored News Engagement Day. The event was kicked off by the University of Alabama’s very own Jennifer Greer who is the national president of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication or AEJMC for short. She is the first University of Alabama employee to hold this position in over 100 years. Greer welcomed students and explained the purpose of the evening which was to tell why it is important to follow the news.

The location is downtown Dallas because of all the buildings. Instead of choosing an open area, I choose a more crowded area to show how much the town has changed. Earlier in time, there weren’t as many buildings, but now buildings are so abundant. Choosing downtown Dallas is a perfect example of how before technology was less abundant compared to now. Downtown Dallas is also not completely filled with buildings, which shows the potential that there is a way to control how the city is advancing. Not to say that buildings are a bad thing, or that having fewer or more is a bad or good thing, but that the people around themselves are aware of the way the world is changing. While there are many organizations that specialize in this line of work, City of Hope is one of the most resourceful and helpful charities. City of Hope is best known as a Cancer Treatment Center (Wikipedia 1). It is our job as members of the community to support these organizations.
