1. What is your dominant style? What was you least (lowest total points) active style? Are the findings of the survey consistent with your opinion about you dominant style? - During our last group meeting we completed a survey, which helped us identify out individual style as a team player. Through a series of questions one of four styles were reached as a result and in my case collaborator was my dominant style, while communicator was my least active style. The findings that I reached at the end of the survey were very consistent with what I believed my individual style was prior to completing the survey. I displayed traits throughout all of my groups of someone focused on the ideal goal. Remaining on task, while also helping my teammates remain on focus as well. I was never much of the sociable one, often playing the background while still contributing and completing the task at hand. 2. What is the contribution that style makes to a group environment? - As the collaborator I am able to contribute several aspects to the group environment. I am able to bring the group together for ultimate goal or task that we are trying to accomplish. When one person slacks off and does not do their part than another person has to do more than their fair share and that isn’t effective teamwork. Also conflicting personalities can be difficult to work with in group settings and the effectiveness of the group overall can suffer. One team member may bring negative energy to the group while another member took it upon himself or herself to play the role of the leader and boss everyone around.
