I wish to participate in this program because it has always been a goal of mine to study abroad. By participating in this program I hope to learn about another culture, make international contacts, and gain valuable international business skills.
For a business person to succeed in today’s global marketplace, a strong understanding of all aspects of international business is paramount. Furthermore, with the current political uncertainty, many international businesses will need to rely on skilled and knowledgeable staff to make sound decisions to remain competitive on the international stage. Therefore, I am choosing to pursue an M.B.A. with an International Business Concentration at Point Park University. With my years of business experience and successful completion of a Bachelor’s in Accounting at Point Park University, the next logical step is to continue with a Master’s in Business Administration, as well as, sitting for my Certified Public Accounting exam.

Probably, most people start their personal statement with “ever since I was little…”, but that’s not the case for me. My story is a little different; I always wanted to be an architect or an engineer, studying anything business-related simply never even crossed my mind, until recently, when a great-uncle of mine recommended I read The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham. After reading it, I was fascinated. I dove deeper into business and finance, and found it amazing. The relationship between nature, mathematics and business astonishes me. Things like how Fibonacci described a way to identify reversals, centuries before stocks were invented, mystifies me.
I am writing to apply for the 2016 AOP Summer Biology Tutoring position. I believe that I will make a successful AOP Biology tutor for several reasons. First, I believe that through the experience I was exposed to during my own summer program, I picked up a lot of tools and tricks that I wished that I had known earlier in the summer. I can effectively convey these tools, such as successfully budgeting time throughout the day as well as during tutoring hours and savoring the summer experience. My experiences throughout AOP summer and the ones I have subsequently had make me an excellent candidate for the Biology tutoring position. I am eager to help usher in the new AOP Class of 2020.
Having directed teams of analysts and legal consultants, as well as having worked in the diverse financial jurisdictions of Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Cayman Islands, Mauritius, South Africa, the UK and the USA, I became familiar with the insights of international legislation and its impact on development. I have written and implemented legal, financial and business programs, dealt with governmental authorities and agencies, managed international projects and researched financial and legal compliance issues for governments, and multi-national businesses and organizations. With my global business understanding, a law degree, three masters degrees concentrating in International Business, conflict analysis, banking and international finance law, as well as multilingual abilities (English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and German), it is my belief I can contribute a great deal to this JD Program by bringing a truly international perspective to it. The company identifies, develops and finances viable renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on North and South America, as well as Africa. Its consulting arm, Asana Capital
When I started with this research I knew where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do. I have always wanted to be a kindergarten teacher and always wanted to go to Panola College for my basics and then transfer to Stephen F. Austin State University and join the education program. I did learn about many other colleges and many jobs knowing what I already wanted to do; therefore, I wasn't really open to exploring, due to the fact that I'm already set on what I want to do and where I'm going to go. I researched many jobs and I'm interested in them, but I would enjoy being a kindergarten teacher more than my other options.
