In the movie run Lola run color and contrast are a big parts of Muse-En-Scene they set up the scenario for all the scenes to special-effects what the character constantly running shows what she will be doing in all three scenes or scenarios Run Lola run. I observed in the movie Run Lola Run, Manny yellow hair and Lola fiery red hair. We look at typical heroes as people in mass, suits and cape, but we never look at Lola as typical hero, but she becomes the hero of the story. Lola is in the search for salvation for her boyfriend which in both scenes before he became the villain. One of the most important props in this movie was the yellow boot that had the red phone in it. the blind lady that hands him a calling card for the

In the film a technique seen a lot throughout this film was, the use of flashbacks and flash forwards. This was efficiently supported by the use of black and white, to show that it is in a different time frame. While embarking on her situation, Lola finds herself literally running into other people, when this occurs Tykwer choose to use a flash forward into those few chosen's future, showing the audience in the first sequence what the future will hold for them, in a sped up scenario, in ...
"Every second of every day you are faced with a decision that can change your life. The difference between life or death can be decided in a split second" (IMDb). Run Lola Run is an excellent 80-minute German film written/directed by Tom Tykwer and edited by Mathilde Bonnefoy that has a four part "What if" style genre. The movie just throbs with kinetic energy mixed with a case of Monster Energy Drinks. It is so fast-paced that it is like a roller coaster that is unstable with each twist and turn. Run Lola Run will captivate your mind and spirit with beautiful and free form flashes of anticipation, panic, passion, desperation, hesitation, fear and fervor that when all combined is quite invigorating and will significantly exhausts its viewers. The formula editor Mathilde Bonnefoy uses to manage the complex rhythms in this film not only dazzles viewers with the pacing, but it also maintains an extensive focus on what Lola is doing and why she is doing it.
Food and water is available but protection is not, all there is are open appartments and you hope that you have a basement to hide from the bombs and the Russian soldiers. The film illustrates the common social and sexual anxieties that the Germans were undergoing at that period of time. It also employs cinematic aesthetics alongside with new technology to create what would be considered as one of Germany’s first sound-supported films. Furthermore, it was the film that popularized its star Marlene Dietrich. The film is also known for combining elements of earlier expressionist works into its setting without becoming an expressionist film itself. It is important also to point out that the visual element has helped to balance the film easily against the backdrop the nightclub lifestyle that Lola leads the professor to fall into.

Analysis of German Film "Run Lola Run" Run Lola Run, is a German film about a twenty-something woman (Lola) who has 20 minutes to find $100,000 or her love (Manni) will be killed. The search for the money is played through once with a fatal ending and one would think the movie was over, but then it is shown again as if it had happened ten seconds later and changed everything. It is then played out one last time. After the first and second sequences, there is a red hued, narrative bridge.
In the play, red was used to accent everything from the characters’ costumes to elements in the background, and the blood. Although red was heavily used, there was a difference in the shades of red throughout the play. For example, the curtain that draped Johanna’s window, was a bright red, while the on-stage blood was a deeper red. There was also a noticeable red-orange lighting casted over the stage during intense turning points in the play. In the film, the color did serve an important role, but it did not heavily influence the body of work, like in the play. Aside from Mrs. Lovett’s clothing in the film, the color showed up mainly during the scenes were blood was needed. The blood was darkened, watery and oozed. This darkened mess, was portrayed in this way in order to emphasize the deaths in the movie, which made each scene a little more
Distincively visual refers to the elements of charcterisation, dialogue, music, dramatic imagery, symbolism and sets the deliberate constructions that shape the distinctly visual and affect an audience's response. This concept is furthur explored with the film Run Lola Run directed by Tom Tykwer who employs vivid viscereal imagery to demonstrate basic elements of human nature, the film demonstrate the features of human naure, a similar approach also displayed within the artwork “The Scream” by artist Edvard Munch. Both composers use their mediums as a way of reaching out into the world, the themes they chose are not only relevant to themselves but also to the wider audience, in using images they have conveyed their message in away that otherwise
Berlin has always been one of the world’s most interesting cities. From its early socialist rallies of WWI to the destruction of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the city has historically played a crucial role in many international conflicts, disputes, deals, and resolutions. Such is the case in Ryoo Seung-wan’s film The Berlin File. Released in 2013, the movie centers on a North Korean spy that is forced to go on the run in the city after an illegal arms deal falls through.
Portrayal of Paris: Cities in Cleo from 5 to 7 and Inception The representation of the city has changed dramatically overtime .A city, the icon of a lifestyle completely different from other lifestyles, is a creation of modernity, social contrast and cultural collisions. The city of Paris is one of the most famous cities in the world and the main setting for both films, Cleo from 5 to 7 and Inception. Even though they shot their films in the same geographical location, Agnes Varda’s Paris is very different from Nolan’s Paris in visualization, audio and thematic roles. Also, it is important to think about why these director choose to represent the city of Paris with such distinctive characteristics.
Run Lola Run is a film set in Berlin , Germany. This film gives you the idea of running with Lola on her journey to come up with one hundred marks in twenty minutes to save her boyfriend Manni’s life. Tom Tykwer uses many film techniques that usually are not used in movies , making this film not like every other Hollywood movie. Techniques such as the use of flashback and flash forward , this giving the film an idea that just by one slightest move or event can change your move in different ways. Other techniques that made this film interesting and attention grabbing is the use of animation, cross- cutting, birds eye view and medium shot.
Videocassettes started to rise in this time, so not as many people were attending theatres, but were still buying and watching movies. In the 1990’s and through the present, German film beamed back to life. Many movies such as Good Bye, Lenin! (2003) by Wolfgang Becker and Run Lola Run (1998) by Tom Tykwer. The new millennium of 2000 represents the German Cinema’s revival in the film industry, but is still small and unpopular on an international level, which is a shame because I personally enjoyed watching several German films in the last month and a
