Introduction
“Do not swear by the moon, for she changes constantly. Then your love would also change” As you know William Shakespeare was famous play writer, who wrote Romeo and Juliet. In 2013 Carlo Carlei decided to write the 2013 version of Romeo and Juliet. The 2013 version of Romeo and Juliet is different from the original play. There is different actors in this version and different lines. This paper is about the differences and the success of this version.

The two main characters in this play is Romeo and Juliet, which are played by Douglas Booth and Hailee Steinfeld. The Lord Capulet is played by Damian Lewis, and Lady Capulet is played by Natascha McElhone. The Lord Montague is played by Thomas Aran and Lady Montague is played by Laura Morante. Juliet’s cousin, Tybalt, is played by Ed Westwick and her nurse is played by Lesley Manville. Romeo’s best friend, Mercutio, is played by Christian Cooke and his cousin, Benvolio, is played by Kodi Smit-McPhee. The count Paris was played by Tom Wisdom and the Prince was played by Stellan Skarsgard. Abraham was played by Anton Alexander and Peter was played by Clive Riche.
