Narrative Essay
As a kid, I was afraid of a lot of things: bugs, dogs, going outside. But one of my biggest fears as a kid was roller coasters. Every time my family went to some sort of amusement park, I would always see this giant roller coaster and immediately say,"Nope! Not getting on that!" However, that didn't stop me from having fun at those places. I would usually just get on small, safe, simple rides, like bumper cars or the occasional merry-go-round. Although, whenever we went to somewhere like Disney Land, I would usually escape from my comfort zone for a little bit.
One time, me and my brother went to go visit our dad in California. I believe it was close to my birthday when it happened. Our dad bought us all tickets to Disney Land, which is basically just a smaller version of Disney World(much smaller). We went, and it was amazing! We went to all the major attractions; some of which include the Toy Story Mania ride, Cars Land, and even the Hollywood Tower of Terror(Never again). I even got to see Grizzly Peak for the first time; that was pretty interesting. But then, my mortal fear was realized. …show more content…

Now here's the thing about my dad: He's a really nice person, but he can sometimes be very assertive. In the past he would try to persuade me to go on a certain ride I clearly don't want to go on. My mom would usually back me up during those situations. But since she wasn't with me at the time, my dad had free reign to boss me around for a bit.
