This paper will be about The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood, there are four questions that this
paper will be based on. First question is, Was Robin Hood a true follower of Christ or just
another do-gooder? Explain. The Second question is, What makes people like Robin Hood so
much? The Third question is, How has his legend impacted the way people think? The fourth
and final question is What is the biggest lesson you've learned from the story of Robin Hood? In
this paper I will be answering these four question as thoroughly as possible.

I do not think that Robin was a follower of Christ, I believe he was just another
do-gooder. Robin Hood always helped the poor and needy, but he also was a thief, murderer, and
liar.
Robin Hood helped Sir Richard when he was in need of money. Robin Hood stole the Bishop’s
money to give to Sir Richard, this is an act of kindness but he also stole the money which is theft
and Exodus 20:15 says “you shall not steal.” True followers of Christ attempt to be like him
everyday. Robin was not a true follower he just had a good heart. Exodus 20:13 says “you shall
not murder” and Robin Hood murdered two people. He murdered the King's watchmen in the
beginning of the book and he also murdered Guy of Gisborne.
What makes people like Robin Hood so much?
I think the people like Robin so much because he has a kind heart. The people don't tell on Robin
because he helps out the families that are in need. Robin Hood steals from people and then
comes and helps other people out. Robin Hood is a thief,liar,and murder but Robin Hood is not a
bad person he just does bad things. Robin Hood is a beloved man in Sherwood.

I've learned that sometimes you don't have to do good things to be a good person. Sometimes
you hurt people to help people. I also learned that you never ever leave behind a brother. Robin
Hood did some bad things but he helped out a lot of people. He was kind of a unsung hero in a
way. I learned that Robin Hood was a great man who just had a different way of showing how
good he was.
Conclusion
Robin Hood was a very interesting book and it was fun to read. I really enjoyed the story and I
felt like it captured me. Every time I finish reading I always wanna know more about what's
going to happen next. Even though we don't know whether the story of Robin Hood is true or

The Middle Ages in Europe were scary times for most people. It was filled with violence, death, disease, inequality, and corruption of higher powers. Most people were left without any hope at all about life. Many thought no one cared about them, and that they were worthless. But the legend of Robin Hood gave many hope in a time of despair. The legends about Robin stealing from the rich and giving to the poor with his band of merry men brought hope into many people’s lives. That someone did care about them, and that maybe they’re plight isn’t so hopeless after all.

Over the years, the legend of Robin Hood has endured great change. Through each generation, the story acquired new characters, tales, expanded themes, and some fresh historical contexts to adapt to the interests of the audience. The legend collected many fragments of other stories as time went on. Also as time passed, the character of Robin Hood underwent many changes. Originally, Robin Hood was portrayed as a yeoman, then transformed into a mistreated nobleman, later turned into an Englishman protesting the domination of the Normans, and finally, through modern adaptation he has came to be known as a social rebel who takes from the rich and gives to the poor. There is no way to ensure that a certain historical figure was in fact the basis for Robin Hood, however there exists many possible candidates. In order to find a possible identity that fits the persona of Robin Hood, one must look at the earliest works of literature that mention his name.
We all know that Robin has always played a part as Batman’s faithful sidekick. The most famous one of all the Robins over the years is Dick Grayson who is the original Robin. Known also by the moniker Nightwing, he hung up the Robin cowl, handing it to Jason Todd.

“They laugh together and talk to each other about the future. The two discuss sharing the future and money together. They called each other their brother”(194-195). Robin Hood and Little John get closer and closer throughout the book. “When Little John is stuck at the Sheriff’s house Robin Hood comes to rescue Little John”(268).
2. Do Robin Hood and the Merrymen need a new mission, new objectives, a new strategy?
There are several issues Robin Hood needs to consider. First, Robin Hood needs to make sure his own personal grievances against the Sheriff do not cloud his vision and what is in the best interest of his Merrymen as a group. Second, take a broad look at the overall organizational structure by conducting an environmental scan, a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis and/or using a variety of organizational assessments (measurements). A SWOT analysis will help determine some strategic alternatives and how the band can attempt to fulfill its mission and achieve its goals. Robin Hood can use the SWOT analysis to identify where he is strong and vulnerable, where he should defend and attack by scanning both internal and external environments (McNamara, Performance Management, 1999).
Robin Hood and his Band of Merry Men had a successful first year. With new recruits pouring in from the furthest outreaches of England, Robin had met his objective of strengthening in number. Although he was satisfied with the size of the organization, he has realized necessary preparations had not been made to accommodate the now over abundance of members of his organization. Many challenges now face Robin such as a lack of provisions and lack of funds to support the band, but he cannot lose focus of their original foundation of "Robbing from the rich and giving to the poor". In addition they have to stay focused on their long term goal to remove Prince John from power by freeing King Richard from his imprisonment in Austria. Robin Hood has to form structure within his organization so that it can continue to grow and prosper.
Stories are have been part of every culture, some of those stories teach a way a life, others show how us a way of culture, others show how Kingdoms have been built and just like that destroyed into pieces, but the Legend of Robin Hood is different, not only because it has been around for centuries but because the legend has changed so much over the years, and with that each Robin Hood movie is way different than the last one, mainly because the historic events that were happening during the filming of the movie were strong enough to change the plot of the movie and change certain archetypes. This is because a film will have greater success if the audience can relate or connect to the plot and the characters in the movie or story.
Robin Hood's good traits are easily seen throughout the story. The author did a good job of making his hero come across as a good person, who has often been misinterpreted because of things that he did as a young boy. Showing the change Robin Hood has made since he was a little boy easily allows the reader to better understand how great he really is, and how he is helping not only himself, but all of the poorer community.Robin Hood was faced with issues from very early on in his life. His mothers death was very difficult for him, but living with his fathers love for another women, after his mother had died, was just too much for him and he threatened his father that staying with that women would cost him his only sons love.
This essay will be covering chapters five through eight of the Merry Adventures of Robin Hood. It will include a general half page summary of each chapter. There will also be a conclusion at the end. In order to summarize the chapters, there must be a main character introduction. Robin Hood is the main character. He and the Sheriff have had a few feuds through the book (considering he is an outlaw). Little John is Robin Hood’s right hand man or “lieutenant,” as stated by Allen W. Wright. The Sheriff of Nottingham is a greedy sheriff who is very focused on capturing Robin Hood.
