In considering the letter from Birmingham Jail written by Martin Luther King, Jr., It was decided that I would write in the same format as him. I hope you don’t mind. The purpose of this “letter” is to discuss the most effective rhetorical device used by Dr. King. Three rhetorical devices are pathos, logos, and ethos.
