Christian Dior was a fashion icon. He has a lot of different experiences in the fashion world and when he fought in World War ll. He has so many accomplishments to be proud of.

Early Life
Christian Dior was was born on January 21, 1905, in Granville, France.( Source 1) Christian Dior was born into a wealthy family. (Source 2) Even though Christian was born in Granville, France he moved to Paris at a young age.( Source 1) Christian Dior was one of five children. Christian first wanted to be an architect with a little push from his father.(Source 1) Christian Dior graduated college in 1928. After going to collage for École des Sciences Politiques/ political science. Christian Dior opened an art gallery, after making a deal with his father that if he payed for it they Dior name would be above the gallery door. …show more content…

Shortly after opening the gallery his father's business went under and he couldn’t pay for the gallery, so Dior had to shut it down. Before being a designer , Christian Dior was assistant designer for Robert Piguet.
Fashion
The house of Dior is one of the biggest names in the fashion world. Dior started up his business in Paris, France. Christian Dior used his experience in the war to make a fashion line. Christian Dior introduced the" New look". One of the most viewed things about it was the lower hemline. His first line was based on World War Two, so he named the line "new look.” When Dior used a corset in one of his designs,l a woman complained that it was to heavy.
