The theme of Remember The Titans is to stand together no matter what skin color you are, you need to treat one another like a brother. The team started to bond in camp since Coach Boone had brought the team to the Battle of Gettysburg where the Union soldiers fought alongside with other races in the of freedom, justice, and liberty for all. In the beginning of the movie, the townsfolk were rioting against merging the two schools and the football teams as the players were against each other at first. When Coach Boone was having his first meeting with the two teams merging together, the players were reluctant to accept the change. Coach Yoast wanted to see how this played out, without Coach Boone’s intervention and as the whole team started to crowd up to argue, they began to chant and care about each other without caring what race they were. After camp, the Titan football team had returned to their hometown to play against the opposing team. Later in the day and the townsfolk had gone to the first Titans football game; when they saw their sons beating the rival team, the parents started to cheer their sons on. The team stood together as one. During bad times in a game, they outsmarted their opponents in the heat of their game at home or at the opponent’s hometown. The Titans had made their rally call as they cared for one another if a terrible situation had occurred to their friends or family. Coach Boone, Yoast, and the entire football team had received horrible news that Gerry had been in a car crash and was not able to play for state season. Gerry prayed that his team would win. As Gerry watched the game on the television, he could see how his friends were doing. But they were not doing too well until Coach Boone, Yoast, and the other coaches switched up the plan to win the season and the hopes of the townsfolk that were at the game or at home watching on TV or cheering for them in the
