Everybody that is human has certain faith or believes in Gods, Jesus Christ, or Buddha but, whatever that faith is comes from an extension of what the foundation is called religion. According to google released this statement “the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods.”. In the movie Religulous directed by Larry Charles illustrates a Caucasian man named Bill Maher's who was raised in religion which is Catholicism then decided to question religions such as, Catholicism, Christianity, and Muslim. Mr. Maher like to judge the religion and faith. He goes to leaders from many religions and tries to contradict whatever they speak for in their religious communities. "You can't get saved if you don't play.". The functionalist perspective can say that he tries to figure out the truth behind religion. The conflict perspective can state that he trying to criticize the truth behind religion. The interactionist can state that people in religion and people that are atheist should come to a common ground. My personal opinion I have hatred towards this movie and I believe nobody should criticize anybody faith or religion. He is nobody to start saying the bible is just as a false story written by a person. I am a women of faith but, do not judge anybody or what they believe in. I feel like people need to stop being stubborn and only have a bias type of mentality. I need to understand in my mind what makes him a person to judge religion and faith? Is it because he is white? is it because he is a man? Is it because he feels like he should over power the people of faith. He has a brain of a squirrel and the personality as a donkeys behind. He has no right in the world. Faith comes from either a spiritual experience, culture, or how you were raised.
