I feel that family and friends were important to the killer angels and the character, even the outcome of the war. Longstreet and Lee were good friends. Armistead and Hancock were old friends waiting for their reunion at gettysburg. Last T.Chamberlain followed his brother, J.Chamberlain, off to war to fight alongside him. Longstreet considered Lee as “ His Old War Horse ”. If Longstreet & Lee were not friends they probably would not trust each other so much. If it were not for Longstreet to trust Lee, Longstreet would have not believed the spy then there would probably have been a massacre.
